AUTHOR BIO:
Kachina Leigh is a nationally recognized fiber artist and educator. Her work was included in the Lark publication 500 Felt Objects and referenced in Uncovering Fashion: Fashion Communications Across the Media. She is a state-juried member of the Pennsylvania Guild of Craftsmen and a member of Surface Design Organization. Kachina’s work has been exhibited throughout the United States and Mexico. Her studio is located at the GoggleWorks in Reading, Pennsylvania, where she is currently focused on papermaking and printmaking.
Kachina earned a B.A. in English and French with an Art History minor at Albright College; she received her Master’s in Art History from Temple University and her MFA at the University of the Arts. She has also studied at the Arrowmont School of Arts & Crafts, Touchstone Center for Crafts, and Cannon Hill Studios. Kachina has participated in a variety of educational programs that have enabled her to study in Bahrain, Japan, Mexico, Qatar, South Africa, Turkey and numerous countries in Europe.
