On Friday, September 13 from 12 PM to 1:30 PM the West Lawn Wyomissing Hills Library will conclude writefest week with short story readings from Anthony Maize and Janice Rodriguez, both Pretzel City Press authors. The event will conclude with a fun Writing Workshop for all attendees to enjoy. Maize will be reading from his book “The Arlington Club & Other Short Stories,” and Rodriguez will read from her upcoming novel under contract with Pretzel City Press.

Explore the captivating fiber art exhibit of Susan Ball Faeder, featuring techniques of Japanese sashiko embroidery, traditional quilting, Japanese sakiori rag weaving, and more on display at the Public Library for Union County in Gallery 255 throughout the month of November. Vivien Zepf is a museum docent, curatorial research assistant, photographer and writer based in Jackson, Wyoming. She enjoys writing book reviews on fiber and fiber-adjacent topics. Check out this review she wrote on Susan Ball Faeder's book "100 Amulets," which was featured on Surface Design Association's website.

Pretzel City Press began the 2023 year by publishing Anthony Maize's first collection of short stories. The book features a downtown Reading architectural landmark on the cover and is now available for purchase on Amazon and here on our website. The author plans to offer public readings of his stories throughout the coming year on local media and at libraries, book clubs, and universities. Read the full press release here!

We are so excited to finally be able to host an in person launch party for Pretzel City Press author, L.D. Zane! Meet the author, and have a chance to purchase your own autographed copy of "It's Always My Fault." The details of the event are currently being planned. Stay tuned for more details soon!
